Barnsley have signed Derby defender Lewin Nyatanga on a six-month loan deal which will run until 1 January. The 18-year-old Wales international recently signed a new four-year contract with Derby.
But they have opted to loan him out again, after he had spells with both Barnsley and Sunderland last season.
"We have beaten a number of so-called bigger teams in the Championship and around Europe to get him," boss Simon Davey told Barnsley's website.

"I am confident that there will be more acquisitions on the way." Nyatanga made 10 appearances for Barnsley last season, scoring once.
He has won 12 international caps for Wales since making his debut in March 2006.
