McIndoe has won international honours for Scotland 'B' |
Barnsley have snapped up the services of winger Michael McIndoe on a two-year contract from Doncaster for an undisclosed fee. The 26-year-old proved a huge success during his three seasons at Doncaster where he scored 35 goals from the left wing in 142 appearances.
His contribution helped the Belle Vue club secure back-to-back promotions and establish themselves in League One.
McIndoe also turned out six times for Derby in a loan spell last season.
He told BBC Radio Sheffield: "Certain relationships at Doncaster deteriorated because I wasn't playing and I think the fans will understand that's why I put in my transfer request .
"I think if I am being honest Mr Penney and I both agree that there was no love lost between us.
"But I had a fantastic relationship with director of football Mickey Walker, the rest of the players and especially the chairman John Ryan as well as the fans."
