Barnsley have offered Crewe Alexandra defender Stephen Foster a two-year contract to join the Yorkshire outfit. Foster, 25, is currently out of contract at Crewe after spending his entire career to date at the club.
"We have offered Steve Foster a two-year deal and he is thinking it over," Tykes chairman Gordon Shepherd told the Barnsley Chronicle.
"I had a meeting with him and his agent and those talks were very amicable. We're hoping for a positive outcome."
