The former England Under-21 international was told he could leave Goodison Park after recently being convicted of assault. "Danny has agreed to come down this week so we can have a look at him," Barnsley's chief scout Russell Richardson told the club's official website. "There is no doubting his ability but we will have to wait and see whether he wants to do it for Barnsley Football Club." Cadamarteri made his Premiership debut in 1996-97 and made 36 top-flight appearances for the Toffees, scoring 13 goals.
