Barnet's attempts to carry out safety improvements on their Underhill stadium have been halted by a High Court injunction sought by Barnet Council. Chairman Tony Kleanthous said last week he wanted to start work on the Southern End of the ground on Monday.
"They could have let work continue with permission to follow retrospectively, but it seems they are only interested in political spin," said Kleanthous.
Barnet Council said: "We must allow 21 days for anyone who has an objection."
It added: "In the case of these types of works, site notices have to be erected, and press notices taken out in local papers.
"The council is doing the very best it can to process this application as quickly as possible."
