Midfielder Chris Aitken has signed a two-year deal with Ayr United

Former Stirling Albion midfielder Chris Aitken has signed for Ayr United, becoming their eighth signing since the end of the season.

The 28-year old has agreed a two year contract at Somerset Park after scoring fifteen goals for Stirling last term.

Speaking to the club's website, Aitken said United's ambition is what drew him to join the club.

"I had a few offers but Ayr stood out and I wouldn't have left Stirling to come here and under-achieve," he said.
