Aston Villa's 1957 FA Cup-winning left-back Peter Aldis has died, aged 81.
Aldis, who joined the club from Hay Green in November 1948, turned professional the following January.
Aldis, who was described as a player with a "sunshine smile", appeared in 294 league and cup games before moving to Hinckley Athletic in July 1960.
The Birmingham-born defender scored his only goal for Villa against Sunderland in September 1952 - a header which was reportedly from 35 yards.
