Aston Villa have parted company with midfielder Didier Agathe after deciding not to extend his short-term contract. The 31-year-old, who previously played for Villa boss Martin O'Neill at Celtic, was signed on a short-term deal in September.
But Agathe made just six substitute appearances, with his last game coming back in November against Wigan.
The Frenchman also had a trial spell at Premiership side Blackburn in the summer of 2006.
