 O'Neill holds Osbourne in high regard |
Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is hopeful midfielder Isaiah Osbourne will sign a new long-term contract before the end of the month. The 19-year-old made his Premiership debut as a substitute against Fulham last month.
"I hope he signs. Certainly within the next fortnight we hope to have the contract sorted out," said O'Neill.
Gareth Barry is set to return to action in Sunday's clash with Wigan after recovering from a bruised back.
The Aston Villa captain, 25, suffered the injury in last week's Carling Cup game against Chelsea, that consequently kept him out of last Saturday's Premiership win over Everton.
