Aston Villa defender Martin Laursen is hoping to return to action in September having been given permission to start training following his knee operation. The 28-year-old Dane missed all of last season after undergoing surgery in September, but is now planning to get involved in July's pre-season training.
"They said it would take a year before I would play again, so my target is September," he told the club website.
"It all depends how my knee feels and how fast I can get my fitness back."
