Angel keen to end career at Villa
Aston Villa striker Juan Pablo Angel
Angel has scored just two Premiership goals this season
Aston Villa striker Juan Pablo Angel insists he is keen to remain at Villa Park for the remainder of his career.

The Colombia international, 29, signed a four-year deal in the summer of 2004 but has failed to retain a regular place in attack this season.

He said: "I would like to end my career in this team where I am treated well.

"I am very happy where I am. Even when things have not gone well, the fans have stayed with me, my family has totally adapted to this country too."

Angel has struggled to keep his place in the Villa side this season because of the summer signings of Kevin Phillips and Milan Baros, as well as the emergence of youngster Luke Moore.

The forward signed for the Villans in 2001 for 9.5m from Argentinean side River Plate.
