Aston Villa's Mark Delaney is set to make his comeback from knee injury. The Wales international has been plagued by problems since arriving from Cardiff during the 1999-2000 season.
The defender, whose latest knock came against Manchester United five weeks ago, has targeted the Midlands derby on 20 March for his return.
"I'm looking to join in training this week. I'm aiming for the Birmingham game and being able to get in a reserve match beforehand," he said.
Villa manager David O'Leary said Delaney had been unfortunate with injuries during his time at the club.
"We have calculated that out of his five years at Aston Villa, he's missed the equivalent of two seasons worth of football," he said.
"He has battled back from injuries fantastically well but it adds up. He's
had two seasons off out of five."
