 | O'LEARY'S VIEW |
Aston Villa manager David O'Leary admitted his side had not had enough desire to beat Blackburn. He said: "The best team won and we didn't have a hunger or desire.
"Myself and Roy Aitken have tried to mould the team that will always fight and work hard for each other and scrap for each other and we didn't do that.
"We've made progress and people were talking about us challenging for the Champions League. I can't control that and I don't get carried away with it."
To make matters worse Gareth Barry and Nolberto Solano limped out of the action to further decimate O'Leary's already thread-bare squad.
