Arsene Wenger has admitted he has no idea when injured midfielder Abou Diaby will be able to return to action.
The 24-year-old has been out since 16 October having failed to recover from the effects of a challenge by Bolton defender Paul Robinson in September.
"Since he got this tackle, he has never come back to a normal level," said Wenger. "We have worries for him."
Diaby has seen two surgeons and Wenger admitted: "We don't know how long he will be out - we have to be patient."
Diaby has been seriously injured before but managed to fight his way back to fitness.
He suffered a broken leg and dislocated ankle against Sunderland in May 2006, but returned to become a key member of the north London side.
