Arsenal to sign striker if Bendtner injury persists
Bendtner suffered the injury against Tottenham on 31 October
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he is likely to sign a striker this month if Nicklas Bendtner's groin injury does not start to improve.
The 21-year-old has not played since the end of October and will undergo more tests on the injury on Friday.
"It depends on Bendtner and how bad (his injury) is," said Wenger.
"If he is out for two months, there is no way, we'll need someone absolutely. We cannot have one striker. There is a 50-50 chance we will sign somebody."
Danish international Bendtner has been hampered by injury this season and started just four league games for the Gunners.
With Robin van Persie suffering a long-term ankle injury and Theo Walcott struggling for fitness, Arsenal have been left with just Andrei Arshavin and Eduardo as natural strikers.
Arsenal are currently third in the Premier League, four points behind leaders Chelsea with a game in hand.
