Coventry agree fee for teenage striker

Coventry have agreed a fee for Arsenal's promising teenage striker Jay Bothroyd.

Bothroyd, 18, was transfer-listed by the Gunners in May after he threw his shirt at the bench after being substituted by Don Howe during the FA Premier Academy League play-off final against West Ham.

After the incident, Arsenal's head of youth development Liam Brady said: "We will not tolerate this behaviour. He is not wanted at this club any more."

Bothroyd, who has played for England at Under-15 and Under-16 level, has yet to agree personal terms with the Sky Blues.
