Fabianski signed for Arsenal in the summer of 2007
Arsene Wenger has given Lukasz Fabianski his vote of confidence and predicted the Polish goalkeeper will become one of the best in the world.
Fabianski was partly at fault for both Chelsea's goals as Arsenal were beaten 2-1 in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final.
"It would be unfair to put too much responsibility for this defeat on Fabianski," said Arsenal boss Wenger.
"I just want to see him recover because I firmly believe he will be one of the best goalkeepers in the world."
Fabianski is deputising for first-choice keeper Manuel Almunia as the Spaniard recovers from an ankle injury he picked up in the Champions League first-leg quarter-final tie against Villarreal.
"He has the talent. He is brave, he is intelligent and technically he is very good," said Wenger.
"He was not at his best on Saturday but we have to accept that.
"It can happen to anyone, just as it happened to Petr Cech on Tuesday," added Wenger, referring to the Chelsea goalkeeper's uncertain performance in the 4-4 draw with Liverpool in their Champions League second-leg quarter-final match.
