Arsenal's Czech Republic midfielder Tomas Rosicky faces at least another three months on the sidelines because of a damaged hamstring tendon.
The 28-year-old, who has not played since January, had further surgery on the problem in Germany on 11 November.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger told his club's website: "He is doing rehab and is back here on 16 December when hopefully we can start work with him.
"But it's a long-term prospect - maybe March at the earliest."
Rosicky suffered the injury in his last game for Arsenal, an FA Cup match against Newcastle, which the Gunners won 3-0.
Rosicky has made only 61 first-team appearances for Arsenal since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in May 2006.
