Gallas limped off in the first half |
Arsenal captain William Gallas is set to be sidelined for three weeks after suffering a groin injury at Blackburn. The defender, 30, went down in agony off after hurdling a challenge from Roque Santa Cruz in the first half of Sunday's 1-1 draw.
He immediately called for assistance from the bench before hobbling off to be replaced by Philippe Senderos.
Manager Arsene Wenger said: "He has done his groin. He will be out for three weeks."
He is set to miss the second leg of their Champions League tie with Sparta Prague, which the Gunners lead 2-0, and Premier League games against Manchester City and Portsmouth.

But the club will be hopeful of him returning in time for the north London derby against Tottenham on 15 September. Gallas missed three months of last season after his move from Chelsea to Arsenal.
The Frenchman only started 21 league games after joining the Gunners in part exchange for Ashley Cole during the summer transfer window.
