Reyes has no intention of leaving Spain |
Jose Antonio Reyes has repeated his desire to make permanent his year-long loan move from Arsenal to Real Madrid. The 23-year-old swapped clubs with Julio Baptista last summer and has made it clear he does not want to return.
He said: "I've had a lot at stake since I first joined the team. The end of the season is just around the corner, so I have to prove my worth.
"I am not worried. I know the club has faith in me, and vice-versa. I wanted to play here, and I hope to stay."
Reyes has suffered a number of injuries this season and started only 14 league matches for Madrid.
And he is currently recovering from a knee injury he suffered against Getafe earlier this month - but hopes to return for this weekend's match at Celta Vigo.
"I am running well and participated in a practice match with the team. My knee feels strong, so hopefully I make the next squad list," he said.
