Arsenal have paid Sao Paulo �3.4m for 18-year-old midfielder Denilson. Denilson, who has made 12 appearances for Sao Paulo, is captain of the Brazil Under-19 team and has signed a long-term contract with the Gunners.
"The English club has paid US$6.5m (�3.4m) to sign the Sao Paulo player," reported the Brazilian club's website.
The deal for Denilson is subject to international clearance and it has been reported the player will be loaned to a smaller club to gain experience.
