Pires keeping future options open
Robert Pires
Arsenal star Robert Pires has admitted he would consider a move to Lyon.

The midfielder, 31, said he had an open mind about his career after his current Gunners contract expires in 2006.

"I know Lyon would have liked to acquire me at the last winter transfer break," Pires was quoted as saying in the Sun newspaper.

"It would be nice. It's not something you turn down. Why not team up with my old mate Sylvain Wiltord again? I am open to everything, to all offers."

But Pires said he would be fully committed to Arsenal as long as he was under contract at Highbury.

"For the moment I have a season left with Arsenal," he said.

"I'd like to stay and I hope things are going the right way. We'll see what Arsenal are going to decide."
