Zokora has been told he can leave St Etienne at the end of the season |
Arsenal are considering a move for Manchester United target Didier Zokora, according to the player's agent. United are thought to want the 24-year-old St Etienne midfielder as a replacement for Roy Keane, but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is also keen.
"Arsenal are watching Didier very closely," his agent Franck Belhassen told the News of the World.
"They will be in for him when St Etienne decide to sell. It will definitely be next summer."
St Etienne want to keep the 10m-rated Ivory Coast international this season but have told him he can then leave.
"It is well known United have also expressed their desire to take Didier," added Belhassen.
"To have that choice makes us very happy.
"You can never rule anything out and St Etienne's president told me everyone is for sale at the right price.
"Chelsea contacted me in the summer when they were having difficulties with signing Michael Essien from Lyon and I know they're still interested in Didier.
"But I know it will be a decision between Arsenal and United."
