Boss Arsene Wenger praised Arsenal for matching Leeds and Liverpool's record of going 29 games unbeaten from the start of a season. "This is a great achievement for my players as they've shown an outstanding attitude," he said.
"They deserve respect not only for their class but also their motivation, attitude and mental stamina.
"I would like to congratulate them on that even though we know we can play better than we did in the second half."
Arsenal have the chance to break the top-flight record by avoiding defeat against Manchester United next weekend.
But first they take on Chelsea in Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg tie.
"The game at Stamford Bridge is massive for both of us. I promise that you will see a big game," said Wenger.
"We have a game after that against Manchester United but let's give it all against Chelsea. We give the maximum in every game and then see what happens after that."
