Thierry Henry has signed a new contract that will keep him at Highbury until at least 2007.
The French striker had one year left on his previous deal and his decision to stay was the perfect pre-match boost to the club ahead of their FA Cup final win over Southampton.
The 25-year-old was voted player of the year by both the Professional Footballers Association and the Football Writers Association this season.
"Some people were talking about what I was going to do and I wanted to make people aware of that," Henry told the BBC after helping Arsenal to victory in Cardiff.
"My commitment and desire is all for this club. When I hear the fans singing my name, I don't want to leave and that is why I signed the new contract."
Henry joined Arsenal from Juventus for 10.5m four years ago and has scored 112 times in 179 games for the Gunners.
