Altrincham are in line for a welcome windfall of around �75,000 following the sale of Accrington Stanley midfielder Ian Craney to Swansea City. The former Altrincham player has completed a �150,000 move following a successful loan spell from Stanley.
Altrincham are due 50% of the fee due to a sell-on clause in a deal which took Craney, 24, to Accrington in June, 2004 for �15,000, rising to �17,500.
The deal surpasses the previous club-record sale fee of �50,000.
Altrincham received that when they sold Kevin Ellison to Leicester City in 2001.
