New Aldershot Town manager Kevin Dillon is not planning major changes as he sets about taking over from Gary Waddock at the League Two club.
The 49-year-old former Reading coach has signed a deal lasting until 2011.
He told BBC Surrey: "To be perfectly honest, what I see here is just to continue what's happening now.
"I won't be coming in and making major changes. The team here have come through the most successful period since it was re-created in 1992."
He continued: "I'm just hoping that I can build on that and the players we've got now will be part of that hopefully.
"From what I've seen, they're all good footballers. Most of them are good on the ball, they like to pass the ball.
"They've had problems with the defence and you can see the goals against, but in the last two games they've had two clean sheets and that's the basis of a good team.
"There's times when probably they don't play well and they lose. Sometimes you've got to win games when you don't play well and that's probably something that needs to be encouraged because you don't have to win every game.
"The emphasis should sometimes be on the other team to attack and we can counter-attack because that's certainly one of the major strengths of this team."
