Waddock's side are on the brink of promotion in his first season in charge (Ian Moorsman)

Aldershot boss Gary Waddock insists his title-chasing side are staying calm ahead of Tuesday's trip to Ebbsfleet.

The Shots will be crowned Blue Square Premier champions if they win and Torquay drop points against Oxford.

But Waddock is not celebrating yet and told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "Our feet are firmly on the ground."

Waddock says playing Ebbsfleet adds more motivation, adding: "They took a major dream away from us when they beat us in the semi-final of the FA Trophy."
