Aldershot have signed Reading midfielder Scott Davies on a season-long loan. The 19-year-old, who joined Reading from Wycombe and signed a professional contract in 2006, has not yet featured for the Royals' first team.
However, he recently signed a contract extension at the Madejski Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Shots have called off Saturday's pre-season friendly against League One side Millwall, following discussions with Hampshire Police.
"We are extremely disappointed that this game will not be going ahead, but the unprecedented costs of staging this fixture, which we have now been presented with, is not viable for a club with our resources," a club statement read.
