Branch, 35, has agreed a 12-month deal with Stanley after ending an eight-and-a-half-year stay at Turf Moor at the end of last season.

The left-sided utility player made almost 300 appearances for the Clarets and was awarded a testimonial before his release.

Branch, who had previous spells with Tranmere and Stockport, is boss John Coleman's sixth new summer signing.
