Accrington Stanley have made former Rochdale striker Leighton McGivern their second new signing of the week. McGivern was a free agent after leaving Rochdale in May 2005, and is therefore eligible to play for Stanley in the FA Cup at Mansfield on Saturday.
The 22-year-old made 28 substitute appearances and two starts during his time at Spotland.
Meanwhile, Stanley have cancelled the contract of defender Julien N'Da, 21, to allow him to return to France.
McGivern follows Witton Albion winger Shaun Whalley in joining the Reds this week.
