McEvilly has netted just five times this season |
Accrington are set to sign Rochdale's Lee McEvilly on a month's loan. The Northern Ireland international striker is due to complete the move in time to play against Tamworth in the Conference on Tuesday.
"I haven't seen him play that much and we haven't got another reserve game for two weeks," said Dale boss Steve Parkin.
"It's good that I can now have a look at him and it will be of benefit to Lee, Accrington and Rochdale.
"I had a chat with him and he's keen to play some games."
McEvilly, 21, has figured just once for Rochdale in the Third Division since the end of November.
He joined Dale from UniBond League side Burscough for 20,000 in December, 2001, and has scored 26 times for the Spotland club, including 16 last season, when he also won his sole international cap.
His arrival at the Interlink Express Stadium comes with Stanley determined to mount a sustained challenge for a play-off place after their FA Cup exploits finally came to an end.
