Aberdeen have confirmed the signing of former Leyton Orient defender Myles Anderson until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old trained at Motherwell while Dons manager Craig Brown was in charge at Fir Park and arrives at Pittodrie as a free agent.
The versatile left-sided player was on trial with Blackburn Rovers at the beginning of the season.
Anderson is not expected to be involved in the squad for Saturday's Scottish Cup tie with East Fife.
The defender told Aberdeen's website he was honoured to have attracted the interest of Brown and assistant Archie Knox.
"I am delighted and very proud to be here," he said.
"I had a number of opportunities to sign for different clubs at home and abroad.
"But, after spending some time at Motherwell with Craig and Archie, I knew I wanted to work with them.
"I was honoured they were so keen to bring me to Aberdeen.
"I have huge respect for them and they are the right people to take my career forward."
