Aberdeen boss Craig Brown is keen on Nick Blackman loan
Blackman was at Fir Park on-loan when Brown was Motherwell manager
Aberdeen manager Craig Brown is keen to sign the Blackburn Rovers striker Nick Blackman on loan until the summer.
The 21-year-old played under Brown at Motherwell for the first half of this season, scoring 10 times.
His six-month loan at Fir Park expired at the beginning of January and Brown hopes to take him to Pittodrie.
Brown is also likely to make a quick decision on the former Cardiff City full-back Tony Capaldi, who has been on trial with Aberdeen this week.
At the end of December, Motherwell boss Gordon Young had said that Blackburn were willing to allow Blackman to extend his spell with the Lanarkshire club.
But, since then, Stuart McCall has been appointed as manager at Fir Park, and Blackburn also had a change of manager, resulting in Blackman returning to his parent club.
Aberdeen's Brown has made a good start to his tenure in the north-east, with two wins and a draw from his first three games in charge, lifting them from the Scottish Premier League relegation zone.
If Blackman is reunited with the former Scotland boss at the Dons he would become Brown's second signing, after full-back David McNamee joined on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
