Aberdeen boss McGhee blanks media over team reports
Mark McGhee is unhappy at speculation over his team selection
Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee is refusing to speak to the media after newspaper speculation suggested he will field a weakened side against Celtic.
Various newspapers reported that he was set to rest some players in Saturday's league clash ahead of the Scottish Cup tie on Tuesday against Raith Rovers.
McGhee is angry at the claims and has refused to speak to the media.
"Mark and everyone at the club was understandably unhappy following misleading headlines," said the Dons.
The club website said that they were angry with "numerous morning newspapers suggesting the manager would be resting players and fielding a weakened side".
Aberdeen take on Celtic at Pittodrie before facing the Kirkcaldy outside in their fifth-round replay at the same venue.
The Dons, currently sixth in the table and out of the Co-operative Insurance Cup, scored a late equaliser against the First Division side last weekend to force a replay.
