Aberdeen suffer Fyvie injury blow

Aberdeen's Maurice Ross is sent off

Aberdeen see red against Hibs

Aberdeen midfielder Fraser Fyvie could be out for up to six weeks after tests revealed he suffered ankle ligament damage in Saturday's game at Hibernian.

The 16-year-old was stretchered off following a challenge by Ian Murray in the 2-0 defeat at Easter Road.

Dons manager Mark McGhee said: "We are all disappointed for him at this early stage in his career. But it's an injury that will fix itself. He'll be back."

The teenager has made seven first-team appearances for the club this season.

Fyvie was injured shortly before Liam Miller and Colin Nish scored two late goals to deny nine-man Aberdeen a point following red cards for Maurice Ross and Chris Maguire.

McGhee added: "Fraser has been important in the way we have played, in the last three games in particular."
