Calderwood said Diamond's effort should have stood
Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood expressed disappointment after Zander Diamond's injury-time goal was chalked off in the 1-0 defeat by Celtic.
Barry Nicholson was adjudged to have handled in the build-up - Calderwood said the goal should have stood.
"There was nothing, but the referee was adamant and we didn't get a point," he told BBC Sport.
"Scott Severin's hit a great shot and struck both posts. Normally, it would spin back into the net."
Calderwood said his players produced a battling display after the disappointment of their Scottish Cup exit against Queen of the South.
"We knew Celtic could go top of the league for the first time in a while and in the first half, they had a lot of possession without really hurting us," he said.
"We conceded a poor goal and then we started to play and believing in ourselves.
"We opened it up and played two up front. Celtic started to get nervous, as you would do just 1-0 up.
"Then we've had a chance to level it, which would've been wonderful for us."
