Calderwood thought his side were tired after so many games |
Jimmy Calderwood thinks his Aberdeen side did not deserve any more than a point against 10-man Falkirk. "It's not easy beating a team with 10 men and we were struggling to beat a team with 11 men in the first half," the manager said after the 0-0 draw.
"I don't think we deserved to win, but it's another point at a very difficult venue against another team on form.
"We know we can play better, but it was our seventh game in 20 days and there were signs of tiredness in training."
Calderwood is expecting decisions on Tuesday on offers of new contracts made to Zander Diamond, Barry Nicholson, Chris Clark and Michael Hart.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen have announced that defender Jonathan Kurrant has been released "by mutual consent".
The 18-year-old failed to break into the first team after arriving from Charlton Athletic in the summer.
"The former Charlton player failed to settle in the North East and Aberdeen have granted him permission to look for another club down south," said a Dons statement.
