Calderwood saw Aberdeen push Celtic all the way |
Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood was frustrated to see his side lose out at Celtic after playing so well. "I don't know who got man of the match but I would imagine that their keeper wasn't far away," he said.
"It was a great penalty save from Boruc. Jamie didn't mis-hit it, he hit it right in the corner with power but he is a big lad.
"I don't think I have come to Parkhead and created so many chances and not won the game. We had the best chances."
Aberdeen remain in third spot but Hearts have closed the gap to just one point in the race for a Uefa Cup spot.
The Dons are at home to Rangers on the final weekend of the league campaign, while Hearts travel to Kilmarnock.
"All credit to Hearts, they have pushed us all the way but I'm sure (Hearts assistant coach) Stevie Frail would rather be in our shoes," said Calderwood.
"We know what we have to do.
"They might think going to Kilmarnock is the easier game but Rugby Park is a very difficult place to go to.
"It might end up that they win 6-0 but if we score a winner in the 94th minute we will finish third."
