By Colin Moffat

1450: I'm off for a quick lie down after that barnstorming game. Thanks for your company. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

1446: That has to be the leading contender for match of the season. We had three goals, chances galore and a major talking point in the reversed penalty award. The post-match interviews should make for lively listening. You will have to wait until midnight to see the highlights when they get posted online.

Full time
1442: Full-time: Dundee United 1-2 Celtic
Phew, what a game! Celtic snatch it at the end to keep them level-pegging with Rangers at the top of the SPL. Two goals from Gary Hooper take the points back to Glasgow.

Handbags
1440: More madness! The players are all squabbling and shoving after an incident in the centre circle involving Barry Douglas and Georgios Samaras. There was nothing to it but these players are well and truly fired up.

1437: Five extra minutes are signalled as Gary Hooper is denied a hat-trick by a wonderful Dusan Pernis save. The striker must have thought he'd scored as he unleashed a rocket from 16 yards but the keeper flicked out an arm to somehow stop it.

Goooooooaaaaaaaaal
Have Celtic snatched the win? An Anthony Stokes shot is blocked but, with the ball pinballing around the penalty area, Gary Hooper is in the right place to poke the ball into the net from close range.

1434: GOAL: Dundee United 1-2 Celtic (Hooper)

1428: Celtic have United on the ropes right now and the visitors are screaming for a penalty every time the ball hits a home defender. It's frenzied stuff. Great entertainment. Just to clarify, I should have said the replay showed that Dusan Pernis got a touch on the ball, not that there was no contact...

My Sport
From SrnasLoveChild On My Sport: "I think it's excellent refereeing that he has the guts to change his mind after being given information from his assistant and it's something that needs to happen more in football."

Someone has struck the woodwork
1424: Dusan Pernis makes a top save to deny Anthony Stokes and when the ball falls to Joe Ledley the Celtic midfielder's thunderbolt cannons off the post and off to safety.

1422: A TV colleague in the office has studied the replay and says there was no contact on Gary Hooper for the non-penalty incident. Maybe it was a great call from the linesman after all.

1420: Georgios Samaras nutmegs an opponent on the edge of the penalty area but the Celtic striker's shot lacks the fizz to trouble Dusan Pernis.

1417: It looked like a clear penalty but play was restarted with a drop-ball in the penalty area. Celtic manager Neil Lennon is having a screaming match with the fourth official and we've had a few objects thrown on to the pitch by irate fans.

1415: Celtic are furious! Dougie McDonald awards a penalty as Gary Hooper is upended by Dusan Pernis. But the whistler changes his mind after consulting with a linesman.

1413: Oh dear, Gary Hooper makes a horrible mess of a volley from near the penalty spot after Dusan Pernis flaps away a Georgios Samaras cross. The Celtic striker does much better a few moments later but his deft lob drifts inches over the crossbar, with the United keeper beaten all ends up.

1411: Georgios Samaras breaks into the penalty box from the left and his attempted chipped cross is put out of play via the arm of a sliding defender. The Celtic striker doesn't look too fussed but he rarely does, does he?

Yellow card
1409: United left-back Paul Dixon is booked for a late lunge at Anthony Stokes. No complaints from the defender, who has made a few meaty challenges today.

1407: Celtic captain Shaun Maloney jinks in from the left and cuts loose with a right-foot strike, which Dusan Pernis beats away.

1406: Celtic forwards Anthony Stokes and Gary Hooper were sharper than sherbet lemons in the first half but have been peripheral characters in the first 15 minutes of this second period.

1403: "There's a real determination about United that was lacking in the first-half." BBC Radio Scotland commentator Rob MacLean.

1401: Celtic win a free kick from a central position 22 yards out and Shaun Maloney curls the ball a few feet wide.

1356: Following four United corners in quick succession, Prince Buaben fires in a useful strike that takes a deflection and Celtic keeper Fraser Forster does well to punch it away.

1355: United, who were on the back foot for so much of the first half, have started the second period brightly and the Celtic defence is being kept busy.

1352: The Celtic fans are howling their disapproval as the whistle sounds for a foul on Scott Severin after a gentle nudge from Gary Hooper on the edge of the penalty area. That looked like a lucky break for the United sweeper, who must weigh about five stones more than the wee English striker.

1350: We're off again. No changes from either side.

1345: With the first Old Firm derby of the season coming up next weekend, Celtic won't want to lose any ground on the present league leaders. I'm sure this game will have a few twists and turns yet.

1342: Celtic were complaining about a possible foul on Joe Ledley in the build up to United's leveller but the Welsh midfielder crumpled rather too easily under pressure from Morgaro Gomis.

From Nicky, still stuck at work (see before kick off), via text on 80295: "I neglected to mention the ongoing profligacy in front of goal and persistently slapdash defending."

Half time
1334: Half-time: Dundee United 1-1 Celtic
There might be a few puzzled faces in the visiting dressing room after Celtic made all of the running in the first 45 minutes only to find themselves level at the interval.

Yellow card
1333: United keeper Dusan Pernis is at full stretch to push away a rasping, rising drive from Joe Ledley. Garry Kenneth is then shown a yellow card by ref Dougie McDonald - that might have been for a bit of back-chat...

1329: The powerful bald dome of Celtic's Daniel Majstorovic directs the ball across the face of United's goal and his defensive partner Glenn Loovens is not far away from connecting as he throws himself after it.

1326: "Unbelievable, this game of football! United were getting battered all ends up yet manage to equalise." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Murdo MacLeod at Tannadice.

Goooooooaaaaaaaaal
Funny old game, anyone? Joe Ledley slips up to allow David Goodwillie a run at goal and the United striker's shot from 18 yards takes a wicked deflection off Glenn Loovens to wrong-foot Fraser Forster.

1324: GOAL: Dundee United 1-1 Celtic (Goodwillie)

1319: The whirlwind pace of the match shows no signs of abating as United's Morgaro Gomis tamely side-foots a volleyed opportunity wide before Celtic launch another attack.

1316: The United defence is ripped open once again, with Shaun Maloney picking out Emilio Izaguirre and the full-back's chipped cross causes yet more goalmouth havoc. However, the home side manage to clear their lines.

1314: Dundee United's Craig Conway races down the left and delivers a good cross to the back post but David Robertson cannot guide his header on target.

1313: "It's a worrying situation for Dundee United. Every time Celtic move forward they set up a goal-scoring opportunity." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Murdo MacLeod.

1312: Anthony Stokes is in the mood for a goal but his sweeping first-time effort from close range is kept out by Dusan Pernis then scrambled clear.

Yellow card
Yellow card
1310: There's a bit of daft pushing and shoving as Celtic defender Daniel Majstorovic takes exception to a Jon Daly challenge on goalkeeper Fraser Forster. Both players are booked, which seems a little harsh on the United striker, who was entitled to go for the ball.

1309: United get a glimpse of goal as the ball drops to Scott Severin from a corner kick but his shot is blocked by Georgios Samaras. The Greek is then on hand to head clear from the same player as the former Hearts and Aberdeen man scuffs another strike at goal.

1306: "How much do Celtic want the title back from Rangers?" asks BBC Radio Scotland commentator Rob MacLean before answering his own question, with "An awful lot, on this evidence."

1303: United are hanging on. The lively Anthony Stokes threads a great pass to Georgios Samaras, who rounds the grounded Dusan Pernis, but defender Garry Kenneth is back in time to clear the striker's shot from a tight angle.

1302: Two Celtic players throw themselves in to block a strike from Morgaro Gomis and play races back towards the United goal, with Anthony Stokes blazing high and wide from the edge of the penalty box.

Goooooooaaaaaaaaal
Well, that's been coming. Anthony Stokes sends Mark Wilson scampering down the right flank and the former United full-back delivers a great cross for Gary Hooper to half-volley home from inside the six yard box.

1259: GOAL Dundee United 0-1 Celtic (Hooper)

1256: Anthony Stokes is allowed to drive forward as the United defence backs off and the Celtic forward unleashes a powerful strike that swerves narrowly wide of Dusan Pernis's near post. Soon after, Joe Ledley bursts into the penalty area and is inches away from gathering a great pass from Shaun Maloney. It's all Celtic at the moment...

1254: It's been scrappy stuff from United so far as the home side seek to build on a run of four wins from their last five outings.

1251: A neat chipped pass from Gary Hooper drops kindly for Georgios Samaras but the Celtic forward blazes a first-time effort well wide from 20 yards.

My Sport
From archiepellagow On My Sport: "Should be a tight game but I think Celtic will edge it 1-0 or 2-1."

1248: Celtic are first to threaten, with Honduran full-back Emilio Izaguirre dragging a shot wide from distance.

1246: We're off. Let's hope for some sizzling Sunday lunchtime fare.

1244: The teams are out at a noisy, but nowhere near full, Tannadice, and it's Shaun Maloney wearing the captain's armband for Celtic.

1242: "Celtic have so many attack-minded players - the back four could be under more pressure than they are used to," BBC Radio Scotland pundit Murdo MacLeod.

1240: With skipper Scott Brown out for 10 weeks with an ankle injury, Celtic will have a new man leading them out. We'll see who's wearing the captain's armband shortly. Five minutes until kick-off...

From Nicky stuck at work, via text on 80295: "I'm sure it'll be an incident-packed masterclass in attacking football from Lenny's Lions."

My Sport
From zakattack1888 On My Sport: "Celtic midfield looks a bit weak... Hopefully that won't be a problem."

1229: BBC Radio Scotland pundits Murdo MacLeod and Billy Dodds are drooling over the United midfield pairing of Gomis and Buaben. Our Murdo reckons, on their day, they are best central partnership in the country. High praise indeed from a man who was a mean centrocampista in his day.

1225: TEAM NEWS FROM TANNADICE:
Dundee Utd: Pernis, Dillon, Severin, Kenneth, Dixon, Conway, Gomis, Buaben, David Robertson, Goodwillie, Daly. Subs: Banks, Scott Robertson, Cadamarteri, Douglas, Shala, Watson, Russell.
Celtic: Forster, Wilson, Loovens, Majstorovic, Izaguirre, Maloney, Ki, Ledley, Samaras, Hooper, Stokes. Subs: Zaluska, Juarez, Cha, McGinn, McCourt, Towell, Filip Twardzik.

1222: "We're the home side and we'll be trying to take the game to Celtic," United gaffer Peter Houston tells BBC Radio Scotland. "It's the only way we know how to play at Tannadice."

1219: Celtic's last visit to Tannadice saw the visitors leave with a 2-0 win in a feisty encounter in April. Diomansy Kamara and Robbie Keane were the scorers that day. Those two are back in the English top flight and several others have moved on since then as Lennon rebuilt his team over the summer.

1215: "Dundee United are one of the better SPL clubs and any away game in Scotland is difficult," Celtic boss Neil Lennon tells BBC Radio Scotland. "We hope to take the initiative and keep up the momentum we have."

1210: Celtic need a victory to maintain their 100% domestic record and keep pace with SPL leaders Rangers. A home win would lift Dundee United to third spot in the league table.

1208: Some early team news. Dundee United welcome back winger Craig Conway from an injury lay-off, while Anthony Stokes, Mark Wilson and Emilio Izaguirre are included the Celtic starting line-up.

1205: Good afternoon and welcome to our Scottish Premier League coverage as Dundee United welcome Celtic to Tannadice.
