By Martin Conaghan
1844: That's all for today folks. It's been another marathon session, but we're glad you joined us for two great matches in the SPL. Tune in next Saturday and we'll do the whole thing all over again.
1843: "We made the mistakes that gifted the goals to United. I don't think any one of them was not capable of being prevented." Motherwell manager Craig Brown speaks to BBC Scotland's Charlie Mann after his side's 3-2 defeat by Dundee United at Fir Park.
1826: "Both teams served up a thriller, considering the pitch conditions. We worked ever so hard and we got ourselves into a nice lead. Jon Daly is a threat - he's been on fantastic goalscoring form - for him to score another couple of goals today was great for him and great for the team. It's been three and a half years of hard work to get to Europe, which is where myself and Craig Levein wanted to go." Dundee United manager Peter Houston speaking to BBC Scotland's Charlie Mann after his side's 3-2 win against Motherwell at Fir Park.
1817: BBC Scotland pundit Allan Preston gives Motherwell's John Sutton the sportsound Man of the Match.
1811: today's win guarantee's Dundee United a qualifying berth in next season's Europa League, irrespective of the results in their remaining four SPL matches.
1810: FULL-TIME: Motherwell 2-3 Dundee United
1809: Dusan Pernis punches clear of the United goal as the hosts press forward to run out the match at Motherwell's end of the pitch.
1807: Lucas Jutkiewicz fires in for Motherwell from the edge of the United penalty area, but he sends it sailing over the bar.
1806: The referee has added on four minutes of extra time at the end of the 90. We've got a long way to go folks.
1805: "It's been tremendous entertasinment today, a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Plenty of goals - so a credit to both sets of players." BBC Scotland pundit Allan Preston at Fir Park.
1804: Lucas Jutkiewicz follows up with a shot on the United goal, but Pernis gathers and the danger eases off.
1803: Andy Webster makes a headed clearance as Motherwell press for an equaliser.
1802: Dundee United's Francisco Sandaza comes on to replace David Goodwillie.
1801: We're in the final five minutes of the match, not including any added on time. Can Motherwell snatch a point from this match?
1759: Morgaro Gomis earns a yellow card for unsporting behaviour.
1758: Jon Daly puts Michael Fraser under pressure in the Motherwell goal, and even goes as far as trying to nudge the keeper over the line with the ball in his hands, but the big Inverness man holds fast and the ball fails to cross the line.
1757: John Sutton leaps on to a Tom Hateley cross from wide on the right and powers home another header to hand Motherwell a lifeline with just under 10 minutes left to play.
1755: GOAL! Motherwell 2-3 Dundee United (Sutton 81mins)
1754: If United hold out until full-time, they'll have guaranteed themselves a Europa League qualifying slot. If that's not an incentive to batten down the hatches, I don't know what is.
1753: Motherwell have less than 15 minutes to get themselves back into this match. A goal would make all the difference to Craig Brown's side at this stage.
1752: Steve Jennings earns himself a yellow card for a stupid challenge on Prince Buaben.
1751: The man responsible for United's third goal, Craig Conway, makes room for Danny Cadamarteri.
1748: Motherwell's Jim OBrien fires in a terrific cross from the right-hand side and John Sutton challenges the United keeper Dusan Pernis, but the ball drifts wide.
1746: There's only 20 minutes left to play. If Motherwell lose this match, it'll be their fourth straight defeat in the SPL. That's a long way from the 11 league matches they went undefeated prior to a 3-0 defeat by Dundee United at Tannadice.
1745: Morgaro Gomis blasts in a shot that warms the hands of Michael Fraser.
1743: "Dundee United look disciplined when they need to hold on to a lead. They make the opposition work and they deny them space." BBC Scotland pundit Jim Duffy at Fir Park.
1742: Motherwell's Lucas Jutkiewicz is getting ready to come on, probably to replace Jamie Murphy.
1741: "As a Celtic fan i don't see United catching us now, but full credit to them they have had a fantastic season and fully deserve third place in the league." From Northstandbhoy of Hesselink on My Sport.
1739: Motherwell enjoy a brief spell of pressure down at the United goal, but Pernis doesn't have a save to make. The hosts really need to take the chances when they get them.
1737: Dundee United's Sean Dillon struggles to clear the ball, then knocks it over his own head back towards Dusan Pernis in goal. However, the ref doesn't blow for a pass-back, probably because he didn't intentionally intend it to reach his own keeper.
1736: That's us played an hour, and Dundee United seem in no hurry to let Motherwell back into this match. A goal for the Steelmen could quickly change the direction of the match, but if United grab a fourth goal, it's all over.
1733: Motherwell's Michael Fraser is having a total nightmare in goal today - he just fumbled a long ball then and clattered into two of his own players.
1732: Motherwell seem perfectly capable of taking the ball forward and threatening the United goal, but the visitors are looking very strong at the back and seem to be weathering everything the Steelmen have to throw at them.
1731: From anon via SMS on 80295: "Re: 1719 - come on Colin how many years do you want to fix it?"
1730: "A good spell of Motherwell pressure fizzles out and Craig Conway is clattered on the counter-attack, requiring some attention from the United physio and his magic sponge.
1728: "Dundee United look like a composed side. I don't think Andy Webster has broken sweat all day. If he's carrying a knock, he hasn't shown it. He's having a great game." BBC Scotland pundit Allan Preston at Fir Park.
1727: Dund
ee United are now heading for their 11th match unbeaten - quite a record for the Taysiders.
1726: Craig Conway sprints down the left-hand wing and jinks into the Motherwell penalty area before shooting a low drive past Michael Fraser in goal for the visitors' third of the day.
1725: GOAL! Motherwell 1-3 Dundee United (Craig Conway 49 mins)
1723: The interim Celtic manager Neil Lennon is spotted in the stand casting an eye over Celtic's next SPL opponents, Dundee United.
1722: y Swanson sends a slick pass forward to Jon Daly, but the pitch lets Dundee United down yet again and he loses footing, so the ball drifts out.
1721: And we're back off again for the second half of Motherwell v Dundee United at Fir Park!
1720: The players are back out on the pitch for the second half. We should be back underway shortly.
1719: "Is it groundhog day? Because I'm extremely tired of hearing about the Fir Park pitch. We know it's bad, get over it." From Colin_Mfc on My Sport. Come on now Colin, you're not seriously trying to blame groundhogs for the state of the Fir Park pitch, are you?
1706: That was a pretty good first 45 minutes with goals a-plenty and some good chances for both sides. Stay tuned for the second half folks, I'm sure there's plenty more top action to come in this match.
1705: HALF-TIME at Fir Park: Motherwell 1-2 Dundee United.
1704: Jon Daly almost grabs his hat-trick on the stroke of half-time with a header at the back post.
1703: The referee has added one minute of additional time at the end of the first half.
1702: Random fact: that was Jon Daly's 13th goal of the season.
1700: The curse of the commentator. Jon Daly latches on to a corner and lashes the ball into the Motherwell net for his second of the day. United look set to go in at the interval with the lead.
1659: GOAL! Motherwell 1-2 Dundee United (Jon Daly 43 mins).
1658: Five minutes to go until half-time and I would have to say that Motherwell have certainly edged the latter half of the first 45 minutes. United have marshalled the troops well, but they're struggling to get the ball forward with any real threat.
1657: "Motherwell need either a new ggundsman or a new ground. With the money they've spent re-laying, only to end up with a pitch fit enough for school weans. If other east-coast sides can get by this term - all be it their pitches aren't great but they're really open to the winter - why can't Motherwell?" From inherent on My Sport.
1654: Michael Fraser is at full stretch to push out a ball that was heading out for a goal-kick anyway, putting his side under unnecessary pressure.
1653: And off he comes - Chris Humphrey comes on to replace the Motherwell captain Stephen Craigain.
1651: Stephen Craigan really looks like he's struggling. If he's not off by half-time, I would be very surprised if he takes part in the second half.
1649: "It's been a terrific match so far on a terrible park - we've seen a freakish goal and a fantastic header. All credit to both sets of players." BBC Scotland pundit Allan Preston at Fir Park.
1646: John Sutton powers forward to out-jump the Dundee United defence and head home a Tom Hateley corner to level the scores.
1645: GOAL! Motherwell 1-1 Dundee United (28 mins)
1643: One of BBC Scotland's summarisers, the Brechin City manager Jim Duffy, reckons the Motherwell captain Stephen Craigan is struggling with a hamstring injury. He looks like he's going to try and run it out until half-time.
1641: John Sutton's header is cleared off the line by Andy Webster. This is a good spell of pressure from the hosts.
1638: Mark Reynolds is fed the ball by Tom Hateley on the edge of the Dundee United penalty area and fires a shot towards Dusan Pernis in goal, but it inches wide of the right-hand post.
1637: There's been some good football in this match so far, let down only by the quality of the pitch. It looks more like Ayr racecourse than Fir Park. You half expect a throng of horses to come bounding across the field at any minute.
1635: David Goodwillie latches on to a ball in the Dundee United penalty area and slips on the same patch of ground that caught Michael Fraser out earlier in the match, otherwise, he could have been on to something.
1634: Motherwell earn a corner that rattles in and out of the United penalty area until the Motherwell captain Stephen Craigain makes an attempt on goal, but skies it over the bar.
1632: "You have to think a couple of clubs might be looking at Daly in the summer, he has grabbed quite a few goals lately." From mem on My Sport.
1631: Despite the early goal, this match lack pizzazz so far. It could be to do with the pitch, or it could be because United are a tough side to break down and Motherwell are already on the back foot after only 15 minutes played.
1630: Has everyone on My Sport fallen asleep on the couch? Come on folks - wake up and give us your views on the match.
1629: Steven Saunders sends in a lofty ball from the right hand side of the Dundee United penalty area, but it lacks pace and United clear their lines.
1626: Fact attack: Jon Daly's goal was the 7000th goal ever scored in the SPL. Well done Jon - you'll get some kind of award from the SPL, no doubt, while Michael Fraser will probably get a pair of golden donkey ears.
1625: That's a bit of a blow for Motherwell - the match was five minutes in and they're a goal down thanks to their own dreadful surface. There seems to be some debate over whether Fraser simply slipped of struggled on the surface - either way, it was a ridiculous way to concede a goal and will undoubtedly make it on to one of those loathsome Christmas DVDs presented by Danny Baker showing the biggest howlers in football.
1624: Motherwell keeper Michael Fraser falls victim to the terrible Fir Park surface, slipping into what can only really be described as a mole hole and completely messing up a clearance that bounces off the oncoming Jon Daly. The little Irishman had no sympathy for Fraser's plight and gleefully celebrated as the ball bobbled its way into the back of the Motherwell net.
1622: GOAL! Motherwell 0-1 Dundee United (Jon Daly 4mins)
1620: Steven Saunders gets the first serious attempt of the match on goal, sending in a cross from the right that bounces straight back out to him and remains in play. He follows up with a shot on goal that angles wide.
1618: The Fir Park surface looks like a pair of faded old green-coloured denims with patches around the goalmouth area and in random places around the pitch. Not exactly what you would expect from a top-flight football ground. Thankfully, it's not raining or it would be like a BMX course.
1616: And we're off at Fir Park!
1616: The players are now out on the pitch and we're all set to get going in the Lanarkshire sunshine. Don't forget you can tune in for live commentary online or on Radio Scotland 810MW.
1615: No sign of the players on the pitch yet, but they should be out in a few moments.
1612: Don't forget folks, you can send us your views on the match on My Sport throughout the match.
1600: And we're back for Motherwell v Dundee United at Fir Park!
1452: Okay folks, we're going to go and have a lie down in a dark cupboard in the vast halls of BBC Scotland's Glasgow headquarters. Coming up at 1615 GMT we'll have Motherwell v Dundee United. So, go and get yourself a cup of tea, read the paper and come back and join us in about an hour for the second of today's matches.
1449: "I thought we passed the ball about well. In the first half we were comfortable and we had a great opportunity when Craig Thomson got behind and he took too much of a touch with it. To lose a goal so early and from a corner was very frustrating for us. I think Steven Naismith was clever, he played for the penalty, but I'm only saying what the players are saying, as I've not seen it. We looked as if we lost our legs a bit in the game. But I'm encouraged, it was a better performance, even though we lost 2-0." Hearts manager Jim Jefferies speaks to BBC Scotland's Chick Young after his side's 2-1 defeat by Rangers.
1445: "The first half wasn't great, but it was much better in the second half. Once we went in front, then got the second goal, we could have added to our account. I don't think it's very often where you have a situation like this. We know we have to go to Easter Road next week and get a draw, but we'll try and get a win. Considering all the difficulties we've had over the last few months, I think everyone will be happy if we can just go and win it." Rangers manager Walter Smith speaking to BBC Scotland's Chick Young after the 2-0 win against Hearts at Ibrox.
1442: We'll bring you some quotes from the managers at Ibrox shortly folks. Our next kick-off is Motherwell v Dundee United with a 1615GMT kick-off. We'll be taking a break until the match at Fir Park, but you can stay tuned to Radio Scotland 810MW and hear two documentaries about Scottish football. The first is called 'Sent Off at Gunpoint: The Story of Willie Johnston' and 'The Stuff Of Legends: Eddie Turnbull'.
1428: "Job done, wasn't the greatest match but in the end although Hearts played well they didn't really trouble us, McGregor didn't have much to do, looking forward to next weekend now." From mem on My Sport.
1426: BBC Scotland pundit Craig Paterson gives the Sportsound man of the match to Madjid Bougherra.
1424: It's all over at Ibrox. Rangers are on 80 points, and the maximum amount of points Celtic can achieve is 81, but the Ibrox side have a goal difference of +51, while Celtic's is +28. It would take an almighty collapse for Rangers to surrender the title to their Glasgow rivals. So, it looks like Rangers can become champions for the 53rd time next Sunday when they face Hibernian at Easter Road after Celtic play Dundee United at Tannadice.
1423: FULL-TIME: Rangers 2-0 Hearts.
1422: Ruben Palazuelos takes a powderpuff shot at the Rangers goal in the dying minutes, but it's not enough even for a consolation.
1419: The referee adds on three minutes at the end of the match.
1418: Hearts go in search of a consolation, with Michael Stewart sending in a weak header.
1417: "I think Jim will obviously be disappointed, but the attitude of the Hearts players has been fantastic. It's only in the last 10 minutes they've started looking tired, but they've given everything today." BBC Scotland pundit Derek Ferguson at Ibrox.
1416: The Rangers fans are on their feet signing "Stand up for the champions". Not quite just yet, but they can certainyl see it from where they're standing.
1415: Madjid Bougherra breaks forward inside the Rangers penalty area and takes on the role of centre-forward, trying for goal, but sends the ball over the bar from a tight angle.
1414: Kenny Miller steps up and converts from the spot with a blasting penalty kick that surely puts the match beyond 10-man Hearts.
1410: Nacho Novo breaks free with the ball and sends it across the face of goal to Steven Naismith, but Eggert Jonsson pulls back the former Kilmarnock man and the ref produces a red card and awards a penalty for Rangers.
1409: That's us in the final countdown - just under 10 minuets remaining for Rangers to put this match beyond the Jambos, or for Jim Jefferies' men to get back into the match.
1408: "I think Boyd is definitely playing like he is leaving, despite the lack of service he just looks even less interested than normal. Hopefully Lafferty can gain some confidence otherwise I'll fear for our strike options next year." from Guntbuster on My Sport .
1406: Nacho Novo comes on and Kris Boyd heads in for the day. No 100th SPL goal for the former Kilmarnock man. He looks thoroughly miserable as he puts on his jacket and takes his place in the dugout.
1405: Hearts have a fairly good grip on this match, but they're just not creating any chances. The match is heading into the final 15 minutes, and they'll need to buck up their ideas if they want to get back into the match.
1404: Kevin Thomson gets a bit of treatment from his teammates for a bit of cramp. He's had a good day out there today, very influential for Rangers, making strong challenges and cutting out attacks.
1403: Laryea Kingston makes way for Michael Stewart as Hearts bid to get back into the match.
1401: Kevin Thomson cracks the Hearts crossbar with a shot from 20 yards out on the right. Jamie MacDonald got a hand to it and tipped it on to the bar.
1359: We've got 20 minutes of regulation time remaining as Hearts put some pressure on Rangers with a corner, but Lee McCulloch clears with a header and Rangers make a break that ends with Robinson earning a yellow card for a challenge on Kenny Miller.
1358: Steven Naismith is coming on and take the place of Kyle Lafferty who has taken a knock over on the far side. The big man has done his part for the day, and the fans on the near-side stand cheer him to the dugout.
1357: "Hearts simply haven't tested Allan McGregor apart from one long ball that went over the top." BBC Scotland commentator David Begg at Ibrox.
1356: Madjid Bougherra turns Ian Black, much to the delight of the home crowd and sends in a splendid ball for Lafferty at the back post, but the lanky Irishman can't get on the end of it and the chance goes a-begging.
1354: Hearts break free on a counter-attack with Suso and David Obua and it fizzles out when Steven Davis cuts across and the momentum swings back Rangers' way
1351: Ian Black earns himself a yellow for a dangerous challenge on Kyle Lafferty over on the far side of the pitch.
1349: Hearts are making a change: it looks like Craig Thomson is going off and Scott Robinson is coming on.
1348: "Can someone please provide me with a large slice of humble pie? I've always said Lafferty is absolutely magic." From Glaucon on My Sport.
1347: A brief spell of pressure from Hearts earns them their first corner of the match, but the attack fizzles out when Laryea Kingston flights in a hopelessly weak ball that fails to threaten the Rangers rearguard.
1346: Lafferty's goal seems to have given Rangers a sense of urgency, they're battling for every ball and Hearts are struggling to retain possession.
1345: Jim Jefferies and Billy Brown have some thinking to do, there's just over half an hour left in this match and Rangers have the lead. Can they make any significant changes and start taking chances?
1343: Lafferty puts the lid on a nightmare match and bullets a superb header past a hapless Hearts defence into the back of the net, then proceeds to perform his totally embarrassing and ridiculous Peter Crouch-esque celebration dance.
1340: Kyle Lafferty blasts in a volley from about 18 yards out, but it swerves in the wrong direction and sails wide to the left of the Hearts goal.
1338: Sorry folks, the BBC gremlins got into my PC there as we started the second half and I had to re-boot. What have you missed? Well, Laryea Kingston earned himself a yellow (he was lucky it wasn't a red) for pulling back Kevin Thompson, then Kenny Miller headed for goal from a Papac cross, but Jamie MacDonald made the save.
1334: And we're back off for the second half!
1333: The Hearts players are back on the pitch and the Rangers players are trickling out as we get ready to kick off for the second half. Chick Young reckons it won't be too long before Nacho Novo comes on for Kyle Lafferty, but there's been no changes for either side during the interval.
1331: Okay folks, that's me had my nosebag time; bit of soup, some juice and a banana. I'm rearing to go for the second half at Ibrox. Quick assessment of the first half: some good chances for Rangers, but nothing majorly on-target. Hearts threatened in places, but looked patient and confident at the back. I reckon we'll get a goal early in the second half, but it's anyone's guess which end it'll be at. Sit tight and we'll soon find out.
1318: Okay folks, I'll go "wash my hands" as they say, and grab myself a quick snack. Back soon!
1317: Half-time: Rangers 0-0 Hearts. No added time to play in the first half.
1314: Jim Jefferies and Billy Brown will be happy with the first-half performance from Hearts, but they'll need to ramp it up in the second half if they want to take something from the game, as Rangers look capable of scoring.
1313: Rangers manager Walter Smith has abandoned his place in the Ibrox stand and made his way down to the touchline. Either he wants a drink from one of those big blue plastic bottles, or he's down to crack some skulls.
1312: We've got five minutes until the interval, plus injury time. Plenty of chances so far in this half, b ut still no goals from either side to light it up.
1310: Kenny Miller breaks free down the left and dances past the Hearts defence to cross in, but Marius Zaliukas clears the danger for a corner. Rangers appeal for a hand-ball in the melee from the in-swinger, but the ref is having none of it.
1309: "Lafferty could improve if he sticks to simple basic passing but instead he keeps trying superstar passes and gives the ball away." from the ever-reliable mem on My Sport .
1308: Kenny Miller is yet again frustrated with an offside flag - but it's Steven Whittaker that's caught this time with that zany "interfering with play" rule.
1307: "Hearts have been great. They've headed clear, protected the keeper. But we've seen Steven Whittaker get forward, and that's what Rangers need more of." BBC Scotland pundit Craig Patterson at Ibrox.
1304: Hearts earn a free-kick 40 yards out, but Laryea Kingston's searching ball fails to test the Rangers defence and the Ibrox side break free on a counter-attack that fizzles out.
1302: Walter Smith looks uncomfortable in his familiar position in the Ibrox stand as he takes in a birds-eye view of the proceedings on the pitch.
1301: Kyle Lafferty sends a ball across the middle of the pitch like he's playing a game of five-a-sides with his mates and surrenders posession back to Hearts.
1300: We're nearing the half hour mark and we still don't have a goal. The longer this goes on, the more anxious the Ibrox crowd are going to get. I don't think there's any realistic chance that Rangers won't win the league title this season, but it's going to get to squeaky-bum time if they don't wrap it up soon.
1257: Kevin Thomson uses his body to hold off Laryea Kingston and the ref blows for a foul. As our commentary team has accurately pointed out: why can a defender get away with that when the ball is going out for a goal-kick, but not during open play in the middle of the pitch? The truth is, it's a foul no matter what way you look at it, but referees can't be bothered with the hassle of awarding an indirect free-kick inside or around the penalty area when it happens on the goal-line.
1256: Craig Thomson latches on to a Suso through-ball and makes his way to the Rangers goal-line with Obua running on to the back-post, but McGregor cuts out the danger.
1254: a crafty Wire-related comment from SpookyRichard on My Sport: "The game is the game."
. True 'dat Richard, true 'dat.
1253: That's us played 20 minutes, and I would have to say Rangers have had the better chances in the last 10 minutes of the game. They've put Hearts under more pressure, but the Edinburgh side seem well-equipped to cope with it. I'm not sure how long it will hold up though.
1251: David Obua earns himself a yellow card for a rash challenge on Kevin Thomson. Possibly a bit harsh by the ref, but he has to stamp his authority on the match or things could quickly get out of hand.
1250: Laryea Kingston clears off the line at the back post from a corner. Close one for Hearts.
It sounds like a football cliche, but the first goal in this match is going to be decisive. Rangers look edgy, but Hearts seem well-prepared to defend set-pieces and weather the storm.
1248: Kris Boyd fluffs a chance to end his scoring drought when Kenny Miller sends a ball across the face of goal for the big striker, but his first touch is truly terrible and he fails to get the ball under control.
1247: "Hearts are bossing the game at the moment. They're working so hard. Jim Jefferies will be happy, but for me, the pleasing thing is when they get the ball, they're breaking free." Former Rangers midfielder Derek Ferguson summarising the match on BBC Radio Scotland 810MW.
1246: Hearts look confident on the ball as Suso heads wide of the Rangers goal from a Craig Thomson cross.
1244: Rangers break away on a fast-paced counter-attack and earn their first corner, but David Weir blooters the final ball over the bar. I think my colleague Colin already used the gag about it coming back down with ash on it when he was doing yesterday's clockwatch.
1243: that's us played almost 10 minutes, and it's been a fairly pedestrian opening period. There's no real pattern to the match yet, and neither side is getting much in the way of time on the ball.
1241: Is it just me, or does David Obua bear a striking resemblance to Omar from The Wire? Minus the huge Mars bar across his coupon, of course.
1240: Ruben Palazuelos sends in a hopeful ball for Hearts that sails over the bar.
1239: Jamie MacDonald tips a deadly-looking Madjid Bougherra cross over the bar. That one looked goal-bound. Random fact: MacDonald celebrated his 24th birthday yesterday. Happy belated birthday to you Jamie.
1238: Kyle Lafferty bounds away with the ball and runs out of steam when Craig Thomson cuts out the danger.
1237: A little bit of untidy defending at the back forces Allan McGregor to make a clearance as Hearts put their hosts under pressure early in the match.
1235: If you're interested, Boyd has gone six SPL matches without scoring for Rangers, which could go a long way to explaining the recent blip in form from the Ibrox side.
1234: Kenny Miller caught offside in the opening minute of the match. Rangers looking to start the game with a bang, but Hearts are not sitting back and letting their hosts come at them.
1233: Another wee note on Kris Boyd's goalscoring form: he's looking to end his worst SPL run without a goal in six years - at least according to Radio Scotland's match commentator David Begg.
1232: And we're off at Ibrox!
1229: The BBC Scotland stat-machine that is Richard Gordon reliably informs the listeners on Radio Scotland 810MW that there have been a grand total of 6,997 goals since the SPL was formed. If Kris Boyd scores today, he'll have scored his 100th SPL goal for Rangers.
1228: The teams are in the tunnel getting ready to come out on to the pitch. Only a few minutes to kick-off folks.
1226: "G'morning. 7:22 a.m. here. Got my live link up and running, ready to follow the match. A special shout out to Vancouver Branch #2 Rangers Supporters' Club out in Coquitlam, B.C. Time there is 4:22 a.m. and I believe they'll catch this match on tape delay given the time difference" from ahcannymind on My Sport . Send us your views on the game.
Hearts: MacDonald, Zaliukas, Bouzid, Palazuelos, Craig Thomson, Santana, Jonsson, Black, Lee Wallace, Kingston, Obua. Subs: Ridgers, Stevenson, Jason Thomson, Elliot, Michael Stewart, Templeton, Robinson. Referee: I Brines (Scotland)
1223: Both sides make two changes and are expected to adopt 4-4-2 formations. Kris Boyd returns up front for Rangers, with Kevin Thomson back in midfield, with Steven Naismith and Maurice Edu dropping out. Kyle Lafferty will move to the wide left berth in place of Naismith. For Hearts, fit-again Ismael Bouzid returns to the defence along with Craig Thomson, Andrew Driver and Christian Nade having missed out through injury
1220: "We're delighted to be in the top six and we just want to get some wins and push higher. We'll get as many points as we can and see where we end up. If we can get a result today, Rangers might not manage to win the title next week. That's the target for us, to come out and get a result for our own agenda - but we know Rangers will be up for it." Hearts manager Jim Jefferies speaking to BBC Scotland's Chick Young ahead of the match against Rangers at Ibrox.
1218: Ally McCoist is speaking to our reporter Chick Young, but he seems to be reluctant to get involved in the debate about whether the SPL split should be abandoned or not. He just wants to focus on winning against Hearts and winning the league. I might be wrong, but I think Hearts might have something to say about that...
1216: "We just thought Boydy did well when he came on on Wednesday and hopefully he can get that goal. Thomo comes in to freshen things up in the middle of the park." Rangers assistant manager Ally McCoist on the changes to the line-up and Kris Boyd's search for his 100th league goal for Rangers
1215: Good morning and welcome to our Scottish Premier League coverage. Celtic's comeback from 2-1 down to defeat Hibernian yesterday means leaders Rangers can't clinch the title in front of their own fans today even if they beat Hearts in the early kick-off at Ibrox. Walter Smith's side will, though, be hoping to restore their lead to 11 points, while Jim Jefferies' Hearts need a victory to boost their outside hopes of catching Hibs and claiming fourth place. Motherwell, who face third-top Dundee United at Fir Park at 1615 BST, are also looking to catch Hibs, while their visitors want the points to retain their own outside chances of overhauling Celtic.
