2144: Thanks as ever for your company online this evening. Steward's inquiry for me over the technology meltdown just after half-time. Hope you can join us on Thursday when Celtic take on Rapid Vienna in Austria in the Europa League. Good night.
2141: So, Rangers move to the top of the SPL after that clinical display, a point ahead of Celtic. For United, they are now seven points off the pace, in fourth place. Mind you, weren't Rangers seven points behind Celtic last season and came back to win the league?
FULL-TIME: Raith Rovers 1-1 Airdrie United
FULL-TIME: Cowdenbeath 2-1 Stenhousemuir
FULL-TIME: Brechin 3-0 Peterhead
FULL-TIME: Dundee United 0-3 Rangers
2136: Craig Conway has never given up the cause for Dundee United tonight, running down the left wing to try to get a late cross in.
2135: Thanks to the guy who texted from his work in the chippy. He was marvelling at the wonders of technology, being able to follow the game on his mobile. That was before technology put us off cyberspace for a while. Ah, the irony.
2133: I know it's a school night but if you fancy seeing the highlights of this game, log on to the BBC Sport site at midnight.
2130: "Thoroughly professional job by Rangers and back on top of the league. We won't need signings in January, we still have Thomson, Mendes and Edu to add to this team providing we don't sell anyone. More than enough to win the league," says a confident mem on My Sport.
2129: Just six minutes left for United to get on the scoresheet.
2128: SCORE UPDATE: Raith Rovers 1-1 Airdrie United
2128: FULL-TIME: Stirling Albion 2-2 Dumbarton
2127: SCORE UPDATE: Cowdenbeath 2-1 Stenhousemuir
2125: United are enjoying a bit of pressure on the Rangers goal. It's corner number 23, almost evenly split!
2124: Jimmy the Rangers fan texted 80295 to point out that Radio Scotland co-commentator Andy Webster sounds very like the main man in Gary: Tank Commander.
2122: Did anyone predict this scoreline?!
Kenny Miller positions himself well inside the United box and takes DaMarcus Beasley's pass, turns inside a defender and shoots low past Nicky Weaver.
2120: GOAL: Dundee United 0-3 Rangers (Kenny Miller)
2119: Another good save by United's Nicky Weaver as he gets down sharply to save Kris Boyd's header.
2117: Prince Buaben wastes a half-chance for the Arabs, blootering over the bar. United need to make the most of their chances.
2116: SCORE UPDATE: Stirling Albion 1-2 Dumbarton
2115: SCORE UPDATE: Brechin 3-0 Peterhead
2114: United boss Craig Levein has gone offensive. Jennison Myrie-Williams has replaced Danny Cadamarteri and David Goodwillie is on for Morgaro Gomis.
2112: Rangers' goal came against the run of play, as United looked eager after the break. Nacho Novo did a mazy run down the left and crossed perfectly for Miller to bullet a header beyond Nicky Weaver.
2111: Thanks for your patience. As happens from time to time doing these commentaries, my PC crashed and froze - like me when I'm through on goal with only the keeper to beat.
2110: Before I give you an explanation for the loss of service, you'll want to know that Rangers have scored another goal at Tannadice through Kenny Miller with a close-range header.
2109: We're back!
2049: Don't forget - or did you know? - that the highlights of the game at Tannadice will be online at the BBC Sport website at midnight.
2047: SCORE UPDATE: Stirling Albion 0-1 Dumbarton
2046: If there are any neutral fans listening (ha!), the best thing that can happen in terms of a contest is for United to score an equaliser early in the second half and then for both teams to go for broke until the 90th minute.
2043: I mentioned earlier there was a bit of ill feeling about United charging fans for tonight's game. Well, Alan in Renfrew has sent a very strongly worded text to 80295. "Those Rangers fans attending the match tonight are scabs. They are putting self interest before the greater good and allowing clubs like Dundee United to shaft our support. They should hang their heads in shame. I've not missed a game home or away for 4 years but I'm not there tonight." Steady on, Alan!
2039: Just had a look at some of the texts to 80295. This is my favourite, from Kenny Pollok: "I'm so glad normal service has been resumed at the BBC. Fantastic, magnificent, superb, any other superlative you use when it's Rangers. And as usual the media will now have sweet wee Walter dreams."
2037: HALF-TIME: Stirling Albion 0-0 Dumbarton
2036: HALF-TIME: Cowdenbeath 1-1 Stenhousemuir
2036: HALF-TIME: Brechin 1-0 Peterhead
2035: HALF-TIME: Raith Rovers 1-0 Airdrie United
2034: HALF-TIME: Dundee United 0-1 Rangers
2032: Another question to trouble your sleep tonight, dear readers (what do you mean you're already falling asleep?!) - why does Madjid Bougherra wear gloves...and a short-sleeved jersey?
2031: Ouch again! United's Craig Conway thuds into an advertising hoarding after a meaty challenge from Madjid Bougherra.
SCORE UPDATE: Brechin 1-0 Peterhead
2029: The whole of the US of A breathes a sigh of relief as Beasley gets to his feet and scampers up the park. Big Dods will be summoned to the headmaster's office in the morning for that.
2027: Darren Dods collides with DaMarcus Beasley, thumping him on the shoulder with his outstretched foot. The big bully! There is as big a difference in weight as David Haye and Nikolai Valuev.
2024: Ooooya. A moment of controversy as Mike Tumilty refuses Kris Boyd's claim for a penalty. Kenny Miller plays a low cross into the six yard box and Mihael Kovacevic "does enough" to make sure Boyd doesn't score. The striker goes sprawling into the net, but several replays are inconclusive as to whether there was contact or not.
2023: Nicky Weaver punches clear from a Rangers corner - how Craig Levein is going to miss him when he leaves in January.
2021: If you would like to send a text, the number is 80295.
2017: Still no goals in the matches between Brechin and Peterhead, and Stirling Albion and Dumbarton.
SCORE UPDATE: Cowdenbeath 1-1 Stenhousemuir
2016: United respond strongly, with Darren Dods causing havoc from a corner, but Rangers clear.
2013: How much of a player's performance is down to confidence? A few weeks ago DaMarcus Beasley was wanting away from Ibrox to get a run of games to ensure that he keeps his place in the USA World Cup squad. Now he is a regular in the team and has just curled a left-foot shot into the top corner. He is unrecognisable.
2012: GOAL: Dundee United 0-1 Rangers (Beasley)
2011: Craig Conway clips in the free-kick and Jon Daly heads directly at Rangers goalkeeper Neil Alexander.
2009: A free-kick for United out on the left as DaMarcus Beasley gives away a foul. The big men are up...
2008: Er, well Gomis looks a bit flustered now that Kirk Broadfoot has clattered him. Mike Tumilty upsets the home fans by waving play on.
2007: United's Morgaro Gomis is a joy to watch. He is always looking to get on the ball and never looks flustered - a magic wee player.
2006: Kris Boyd is looking to close in on Henrik Larsson's SPL scoring record of 158 goals. Boyd has bagged 153 to date.
2005: If this stays goalless, I'll be astonished.
2003: Jon Daly goes down in the Rangers box under a challenge by David Weir but referee Mike Tumilty waves United's penalty claims away.
2002: As the teams weigh one another up, great philosophical questions of our time - is McCulloch left-footed or right-footed? Or, whisper it, is he one of those proper footballers who are "two-footed"?
2000: Rangers' Lee McCulloch keeps Nicky Weaver on his toes with a right-foot volley from the edge of the box.
1957: Danny Cadamarteri is booked for a foul on Lee McCulloch. A bit early to get a yellow card in what is likely to be a "lively" affair.
1956: Nicky Weaver makes a great save from DaMarcus Beasley, diving to his right to stop the American's left-footed snap shot. Kris Boyd was sniffing about the goalkeeper instantly but United clear the danger.
1955: About 8,000 or so in the ground, with many Rangers fans boycotting the match. There are around 1,300 fans in blue in the stadium tonight.
1954: And Lee McCulloch has come in for Kevin Thomson in the Rangers team, the visitors' only change from the side that beat St Johnstone on Saturday.
1952: So United have recalled midfielders Morgaro Gomis and Prince Buaben after both passed fitness tests and drafted in Danny Cadamarteri up front. Darren Dods replaced Andy Webster, who is unable to face Rangers under the terms of his season-long loan from the Ibrox club.
1951: A bright start by the Terrors in tangerine. And you'll be pleased to learn that the weather is cold but clear - no danger of the match being called off at the interval...surely.
1948: Raith Rovers 1-0 Airdrie United (Javier Corredera 4)
1947: Have a listen to David Begg's commentary on the action by clicking on the audio link in the top right-hand corner of the page.
1946: We're off and running at Tannadice.
1945: There is a bit of bad feeling surrounding this match. Dundee United cut their ticket prices by half after the original game was abandoned at half-time due to flooding. Rangers, however, are angry that the match isn't free for those who have ticket stubs from the first game.
1943: Have you got your predictions in at the Predictor?
1940: Here is the Dundee United team Craig Levein is sending out to face Rangers: Weaver, Kovacevic, Kenneth, Dods, Dixon, Conway, Dillon, Buaben, Gomis, Cadamarteri, Daly. Subs: Banks, Myrie-Williams, Scott Robertson, David Robertson, Swanson, Casalinuovo, Goodwillie.
1930: Good evening and welcome to the live commentary on the Scottish Premier League match at Tannadice between Dundee United and Rangers, plus we'll have score updates from the four Scottish Football League matches.
