A Brian Easton own goal rescued a point for Dundee United as Hamilton Accies were denied victory at Tannadice.
Richard Offiong gave the visitors the lead early on with a smart finish past Lukasz Zaluska.
Hamilton's Simon Mensing was sent off midway through the second half for a second bookable offence.
And United's late pressure told as Easton put past his own goalkeeper as Accies struggled to deal with Craig Conway's corner.
Hamilton were looking to end a 10-match winless streak but had previously recorded a victory over United in the Scottish Premier League this season.
And it was Accies who made the breakthrough in the eighth-minute when Offiong met Mensing's cross to fire home from inside the six-yard box.
However, Mensing looked to have been offside in the run up to the goal.
United went on the offensive in search of an equaliser and Conway's corner was missed by Tomas Cerny, forcing Trent McClenahan to head off the line.
Accies came close to extending their lead nine minutes before half-time when Alex Neil's corner struck the post and Mensing's rebound shot swerved off target.
Moments later, Cerny blocked Dods' shot after Lee Wilkie and Scott Robertson combined to open up the Hamilton defence.
The home side struggled to create opportunities early in the second half but were almost gifted a goal following Chris Swailes' slip.

However, Francisco Sandaza was unable to take advantage as Cerny blocked.
At the other end, Offiong could not hit the target after James McArthur and Mensing had created another chance for the striker.
Willo Flood's chip hit the side netting before Mensing was dismissed eight minutes from the end.
Mensing was given a second booking following an off-the-ball push on Conway, who had also been involved in an altercation with McArthur.
Buoyed by their one-man advantage, United continued to press forward and Wilkie's shot was deflected wide by McArthur.
But the Tannadice side did get their leveller when Daly's effort from Conway's 94th minute corner found its way into the net via the unfortunate Easton.
The draw means Hamilton missed the chance to go off the bottom of the SPL table with St Mirren having lost earlier in the day to Celtic.
Dundee United manager Craig Levein: "In all honesty, I thought we had Hamilton pinned back for most of the game and we deserved at least a point.
"They basically played a 3-6-1; camped on the edge of their box and relied on the counter-attack.
"I don't mind teams coming here and sitting in, but they were time wasting at the end of the first half and two minutes into the second half.
"If the referee points to his watch for time-wasting, he shouldn't do it 12 times. He was poor today. There were a lot of bad decisions - for both sides."
Hamilton Accies manager Billy Reid: "It's two points dropped for us; we cut them open and to lose a goal in injury time is hugely disappointing.
"I thought there was only one team playing football in the first 45 minutes. We totally outclassed them.
"Sure, they pinned us back in the second half, but it was all high, diagonal balls.
"I don't think our goalkeeper got any protection in the last 10 minutes and, when United got their goal, someone had a go at him on the deck. The goal we lost was was just a stramash."
