David Van Zanten and Dean Holden were in trouble at the weekend |
Falkirk's Dean Holden and St Mirren's David Van Zanten have won their appeals to the Scottish FA against cards shown to them at the weekend. The disciplinary review panel agreed that full-back Van Zanten's yellow card against Dunfermline was the result of a case of mistaken identity.
Defender Holden's red card against Hibernian was reduced to a booking.
Falkirk, who had made a claim of wrongful dismissal, will be able to field Holden against Celtic on Sunday.
Had the sending-off stood, he would have been through the penalty points threshold that would have lead to a further suspension.
