Pressley plays despite outburst
Hearts' captain Steven Pressley

Hearts captain Steven Pressley was not dropped for the match with Dunfermline despite criticising the club.

Pressley, flanked by Paul Hartley and Craig Gordon, had voiced his concerns about the way Hearts were being run in a media conference on Friday.

However, the three players started the match at Tynecastle.

Club owner Vladimir Romanov's spokesman Charlie Mann told BBC Radio's Sportsound he was determined to find a solution to the club's problems.

Mann said he was disappointed by Friday's events and that the players and Romanov were all angry.

The easy thing would be to throw the toys out the pram and walk away but I won't do that

"I don't agree with everything he (Romanov) does and I certainly don't agree with what happened yesterday," he said.

"It's my job to find a solution and find some way of moving forward and get things back on track.

"The easy thing would be to throw the toys out the pram and walk away but I won't do that.

"There's been a car crash along the way and we have to resolve this, fill this stadium and get things back on track.

"It's not as if Romanov has said to me they shouldn't have done it (made the statement)."

Former Hearts chairman George Foulkes, SNP leader Alex Salmond and the Scottish players' union have backed the players over their stance.

Hearts are currently eight points behind leaders and current champions, Celtic.
