McGlynn thought Hearts were denied a penalty at Celtic Park |
Hearts assistant coach John McGlynn was upset that his side were denied a late penalty in the 1-0 loss at Celtic Park. Interim manager Valdas Ivanauskas was sent off for complaining after Bobo Balde appeared to kick Roman Bednar.
"Roman hasn't just fallen to the ground for no reason," McGlynn told BBC Sport. "If it was a dive he should have been booked, but he wasn't.
"There are a few newcomers to Scotland at our club and they don't realise yet that you don't get those decisions."
Hearts lost out to John Hartson's early strike that secured the league title for Celtic.
But the visitors remain three points clear of Rangers in the race for second place and a Champions League spot next season.
"It wasn't the best of starts - losing a goal so quickly," added McGlynn.
"But once we settled, we played well and created three or four good chances.
"That's the most possession we've had at Celtic Park for a long, long time and with a wee break we might have got something from the game.
"If we keep playing like that and show the same determination and courage, I'm sure we will hold on to second place."
