Dundee won away from home in Division One for the first time this season as Ross County lost their first match since the exit of manager Derek Adams.
The visitors took command on 18 minutes when Leigh Griffiths connected with Craig Forsyth's cross and fired home.
Griffiths turned provider when he set up Nicholas Riley to volley Dundee's second in the 51st minute.
And Griffiths added a third 15 minutes from the end with a driven shot into the bottom corner.
