Dundee 1-0 Queen of the South

Dundee got the league campaign off to a winning start
Dundee held on for three points despite two red cards

Just after the hour Queens striker David Weatherston was toppled but Rab Douglas saved Derek Holmes' spot-kick.

Netan Sansara and Nicholas Riley each picked up two yellow cards but the visitors could do nothing with their advantage in the closing 15 minutes.
