Albion Rovers suffered a blow to their hopes of grabbing one of the three promotion play-off spots as champions Livingston increased their lead.

David Sinclair's spectacular 35-yard drive left Rovers goalkeeper Jamie Ewings with no chance after 15 minutes.

Michael McGowan turned the ball into his own net three minutes later.

Dennis McLauchlin twice went close to reducing the deficit, but he could not find a way past in-form goalkeeper Darren Jamieson.

Rovers, who are at home to Stranraer in their final game on Saturday, are now a point behind fourth-top Queen's Park, who are away to second-placed Forfar Athletic.
