First Division leaders Dundee suffered a surprise defeat to bottom club Airdrie at the Excelsior Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, Scott McLaughlin stole in to give the hosts a 54th minute lead from close range.

Diarmuid O'Carroll combined well with Alan Trouten before finishing well for Airdrie's second on the hour.

And a short corner routine allowed Scott Gemmill to claim the Diamonds' third with 15 minutes left as Dundee's lead was cut to four points.
